Schedule August 2 thru the 5th

We will meet Tues, Wed, Thur, and Friday 6-8 at the outlet mall space.  We will be performing Sat Aug 6th at The Junkyard which is at the end of the outlet mall, down from our PHCT space.  The Junkyard is a cool place with a stage.  Have you invited your family and friends to come see you.?  Show times are 3:00 and 7:00 and I will have pizza for you between shows.  Wear your CCK shirts that day and either shorts or capris. 
We will be reviewing the musical numbers this evening and running the show in its entirety and in order of performances.

Hello CCK and Parents,
Reminder - rehearsals this coming Tues and Thurs at the church.  I will also call another rehearsal at Horizon the following weekend, I am thinking Sat 10-12 or Sunday 6-8, or both, but will let you know for sure. Let me know which day is best for you, Sat or Sun.  Please attend all rehearsals...we need you all there.
 Your show is coming up fast, in 2 weeks, so I am asking that all of you use this weekend to practice all your lines, dances, songs, etc.  I will need to introduce a couple of other things as well, which won't  be hard to learn.
 I want everyone to have their lines for monologues and skits memorized by this Tuesday.  You will not be using your scripts anymore.  I know you can do it.
 I will need the music from the following:
Sisters - Noehl, Maddie, and Abbi
Love Story - Sydney
Also you will need to bring your instruments and music for African Marching Song: Ally, Abbi, and Sydney
I will set aside time for you to practice.
I have to prepare the progam and sequence of acts as well, so I need to know you are ready because once the program is done, I will not be able to change it.
Again, all of you should feel proud of the terrific job you are doing.   I am happy to know each and every one of you.

Hello CCK and Parents,
Port Huron at 5:30 in front of the YMCA, water side.  We will then meet up with the PHCT float of "The Wiz".  I apologize that the t-shirts were not done in time to give them to you this evening, but we will have them for you for the parade.  You may want to wear a tank top or light shirt and you can put the CCK t-shirt over it.  Also, wear comfortable walking shoes and please bring a cold bottle of water.
We will be handing out our CCK cards to the parade spectators.
The parade route starts at Military and Griswold and ends at Huron and Glenwood.  Please pick up your kids immediately after the parade.

Next Rehearsal

Hello CCK,
I am back from vacation and our next rehearsal will be Sunday, July 10th 5:00-7:00 at our space at the outlet mall.  Please plan to attend and come prepared.

Even though I will be on vacation, we will now be having rehearsals.  Mrs. Collins has agreed to help while I am gone.  Please attend rehearsals:

I am away on vacation June 25th thru July 2nd.  I will give you a July schedule asap.  I have to coordinate times and locations due to our production of The Wiz using the outlet mall rehearsal space.
I need for you to make every attempt to be at each rehearsal.  If you absolutely cannot attend a rehearsal, I will need to know in advance.  I understand summer is busy for all of us, but we need this time to rehearse.
Our show dates are Friday Aug 5th and Saturday Aug 6th 7:00 p.m.
Admission is free to all.  You will need to be at McMorran at 5:30 each of those days.  Our dress rehearsal will be at McMorran on Thursday Aug 4th at 6:00-?
We will also have rehearsals at the outlet mall Aug 1st, 2nd, and 3rd at 6:00.
You MUST be available tech week and all performances.  You must also pay your $20 participation fee.

Hello Curtain Call Kids,
We will be meeting Sunday, June 12th 5:00-7:00, same place.  Please note the time change.  We will be doing more auditions on Sunday.  Please bring your $20 participation fee, cash or check payable to PHCT.
I was pleased with auditions last Sunday.  If you were given a monologue, please memorize, develop your character, and practice.  Remember to speak clearly and project your voice so you can be heard.  I reserve the right to adjust all character roles if I deem it necessary.
We will be having more auditions Sunday.  If you have a prepared solo or duet to sing, please come prepared to sing on Sunday.  Those of you who are playing a musical instrument with a group, please bring your instruments and show us what you've got.
CCK 2011 members who will be participating in the variety show will be cast to perform in at least 2 numbers.

May Meeting

The next meeting of the Curtain Call Kids will be May 22 from 4 to 6 at our rehearsal space in the Factory Shops Mall (formerly Horizon mall) on Range and I94,   Pam will be discussing rehearsal dates for the summer variety show and any requirements.
